Playing live on the radio always has its own specific mood.
At the end of summer 2023 Fairy Tale accepted a precious invitation to the prominent Headbanger FM show of Slovak radio
It was feedback from some fans that eventually inspired the band to use this material for Bypass 2.
Anyway, the EP album Live on the Radio (Bypass 2.) is not just a simple transcription of the broadcast recording. The session was sensibly edited and selected the most interesting parts of the performance. Sound is also a bit adjusted and remastered and there were some slight sound designs added to improve the atmosphere.
From the complete live set were chosen the compositions where the magic combined with a rare atmosphere, somewhere on the edge between rehearsed skills and slight improvisation.
One of the hardest track “State of Neurotica” with timeless lyrics comes from the album Loveland (2011)
“Acoustic Dream” was originally sung as a cappella by Barbora on the album Dream (2008) Here you can listen to her together with a wall of keyboards and subtly designed with the sound of planets.
And from the same album comes the song “Babel On” which had such a dramatic entry which could shake the foundations of the legendary Slovak Radio building 🙂 …perhaps everything is still fine with this legendary pyramid.
A dramatic storm accompanied the entire evening and so the elements of heavenly fire and art came together in a special symbiosis. This is a compilation of the rare moments that we played that evening. We think these are nice artistic moments and we really hope you enjoy them.
